Brooklyn film photographer Salim Hasbini contacted me to design a portfolio website that would house his work. Most of his photography is black and white, and he requested that I keep the site’s color palette mainly black and white as well. I added a dash of red to keep it from getting too monotonous, and because red goes particularly well with black, white and gray.
The bulk of the site consists of thumbnails that open up into slideshow panels featuring the whole photo.
The website functions as part of a larger brand identity I created for him, with business cards and a customized resume design. We decided to have several variants for the business card, using multiple photos of his.
